Among CXC chemokines, CXCL10 has been identified to play an important role in several endocrinological autoimmune diseases such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Graves'disease and Type 1 diabetes mellitus. The chemokine IP-10 (interferon-inducible protein of 10kD, CXCL10) is a chemoattractant for CXCR3+ T cells, binds to the G protein-coupled receptor CXCR3, which is found mainly on activated T cells and NK cells, and plays an important role in Th1-type inflammatory diseases. IP-10 also binds to glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), an interaction thought to be important for its sequestration on endothelial and other cells. Endotoxin: <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug as per LAL AA Sequence: VPLSRTVRCT CISISNQPVN PRSLEKLEII PASQFCPRVE IIATMKKKGE KRCLNPESKA IKNLLKAVSK EMSKRSP Biological Activity: Recombinant Human IP-10 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Biological activity is calculated by its ability to chemoattract human T lymphocytes at 10.0-50.0ng/ml. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 8.6kD |
Source: Recombinant, human, E. coli Purity: 95% as determined by RP-HPLC; Reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O PBS to 0.1-1mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
