Recombinant IP-10 comprises a 77 amino acid fragment (22-98) corresponding to the mature IP-10 protein. IP-10 is expressed in E. coli with an amino- terminal hexahistidine tag. IP-10 / CXCL10 is a chemokine produced by a variety of cell types including monocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells during the delayed hypersensitivity response. IP-10 functions as a chemoattractant towards monocytes, activated lymphocytes and certain T-cells and acts via the specific XCX chemokine receptor CXCR3. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
