Description: JAM-1, cell surface antigen, originally identified by this antibody as the F11R antigen on platelets. JAM-1, also known as CD321, is important in intercellular adhesion between endothelial cell and epithelial cells, and is also a functional receptor on platelets. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Western Blot: 1:100-1:1,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
