Kallikrein 15 (KLK15)
Kallikrein 15, encoded by the KLK15 gene, is a member of the tissue Kallikrein family of Serine proteases. It is a secreted protein found in prostate, colon, thyroid tissues, breast milk and seminal plasma. Whether it has a trypsin-like activity or not remains controversial. Several splice forms exist. The 250 aa rhKLK15 has a 10-His tag at the C-terminus. It predicts a molecular mass of 28kD and migrates as a 39kD band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. The amino acid sequence of human KLK15 is 99%, 77% and 77% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine and mouse, respectively.

Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human KLK15. The detection limit for rhKLK15 is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Immunoprecipitation: This antibody has been used to immunoprecipitate rhKLK15 from conditioned media of transfected NS0 cells. The recovered rhKLK15 can be detected by Western blot analysis using a monoclonal antibody.
Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human KLK15. The detection limit for rhKLK15 is approximately 0.5 ng/well.
Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS with 40-50% glycerol and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Supplied as a lyophilized powder from a 0.2um filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 40-50% glycerol. If 0.5ml is used, the concentration will be 0.2mg/ml.
Selected for its ability to recognize human KLK15 in direct ELISAs and Western Blots. In these formats, this antibody shows less than 1% crossreactivity with rhKLK2, rhKLK8, and rhKLK11.
