Technical Data
Kappa Light Chain (HCAK1, Ig kappa Chain C Region, IGKC, Immunoglobulin kappa Constant Region, Immunoglobulin kappa Light Chain, Kappa 1 Immunoglobulin Light Chain, Km, MGC111575, MGC62011, MGC72072, MGC88770, MGC88771, MGC88809)
Immunohistochemical detection of immunoglobulins is useful in determining the lymphoid origin of tissues and in the assessment of lymphoid proliferations as reactive or malignant. The assessment of light chain status is particularly important in this regard as it may be used to demonstrate the clonal nature of a tumor.

Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:10-1:40
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:10-1:40; This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Recommended Secondary Reagents:
Sheep anti Rabbit IgG (HRP)

Recommended Positive Control Tissue:
Human tonsil

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Purified human immunoglobulin kappa light chains
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide, 1% BSA.
Recognizes the kappa immunoglobulin light chain, which comprises approximately 60% of light chains in humans.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
