Kappa Light Chain (HCAK1, Ig kappa Chain C Region, IGKC, Immunoglobulin kappa Constant Region, Immunoglobulin kappa Light Chain, Kappa 1 Immunoglobulin Light Chain, Km, MGC111575, MGC62011, MGC72072, MGC88770, MGC88771, MGC88809) (PE)
Useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. The most common feature of these malignancies is the restricted expression of a single light chain class. Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates that the infiltrate is clonal and therefore malignant. Immunoglobulin bearing Kappa light chains are present on about 60% of normal B lymphocytes.

Fusion Partners: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse NS1 myeloma cell line.

Recommended Negative Controls: Mouse IgG2a Negative Control: RPE

Flow Cytometry: Neat
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10e6 cells in 100ul.

~100 Tests/1ml
Rat F(ab')2 fragment of rat IgG.
Purified by Ion Exchange chromatography.
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide, 1% BSA. Labeled with R. Phycoerythrin (RPE). Reconstitute with 1ml sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O.
Recognizes a determinant on rat kappa chains and shows a marked preference for binding to the Igka allotype which is present in AGUS, AO, AUG, BN, LEW, LOU, PVG and WAG rat strains but not in AC1, DA, F344, MSU or SHR.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
