Description:
Useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. The most common feature of these malignancies is the restricted expression of a single light chain class. Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates that the infiltrate is clonal and therefore malignant. Immunoglobulin bearing Kappa light chains are present on about 60% of normal B lymphocytes.

Fusion Partners: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse NS1 myeloma cell line.

Applications:
Flow Cytometry: Neat
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10e6 cells in 100ul.

Specificity:
Recognizes a determinant on rat kappa chains and shows a marked preference for binding to the Igka allotype which is present in AGUS, AO, AUG, BN, LEW, LOU, PVG and WAG rat strains but not in AC1, DA, F344, MSU or SHR.
