Kendomycin is an unusual macrocyclic metabolite containing a rare quinone methide group. Kendomycin is a potent antibacterial agent against Gram positive and negative bacteria including MRSA strains, also displaying antitumor activity. Kendomycin has been reported to be a potent endothelin receptor agonist and has been demonstrated to possess antiosteoporotic activity. Soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO.
