KRT18 (Keratin, Type I Cytoskeletal 18, Cytokeratin-18, CK-18, Keratin-18, K18, Cell Proliferation-inducing Gene 46 Protein, PIG46, CYK18)
Description:
Cytokeratin 18 is an acidic type I keratin and a member of intermediate filament family of proteins. Cytokeratin 18 typically forms a heterotetramer with Cytokeratin 8 to form an intermediate filament in simple single-layered epithelial cells. Cytokeratin 18 is expressed primarily in non squamous epithelia and is present in a majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 20ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
