Description:
KIFC1 is a C-terminal kinesin motor associated with the nuclear membrane and acrosome in round and elongating spermatids. This location in developing spermatids is consistent with possible roles in acrosome elongation and manchette motility or both. It is a minus-end-directed motor enzyme.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Not suitable for Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug/mg lysate
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
HeLa cell lysate

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: We do not recommended adding glycerol as a cryopreservative.
