Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml detects KIF21A in a rat brain microsomal preparation. Rat brain microsomal preparation was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with K1760-01 (2ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 948-963 (CKRREKLSKRREKIVKE) of mouse KIF21A with an N-terminal cysteine added for conjugation purposes (KLH coupled).
Purity:
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Supplied as a liquid in 0.1M Tris-glycine, pH 7.4, 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.05% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 30%.
Specificity:
Recognizes mouse KIF21A, Mr ~180kD. An unknown protein detected at Mr ~70kD was also competed by the immunizing peptide. Species Crossreactivity: rat and human.
