Kiss1 (Metastasis-suppressor KiSS-1, Kisspeptin-1)
Description:
KiSS-1 has been reported to suppress metastases of melanomas and breast carcinomas without affecting tumorigenicity. Human KiSS-1 transcripts are predominately expressed in the brain and placenta. Expression of KiSS-1 reduces the level of NFkB p50/p65 binding to the MMP9 promoter and correlates with diminished expression of the 92kD type IV collagenase (MMP-9). KiSS-1 may regulate events downstream of cell-matrix adhesion in mechanisms involving cytoskeletal reorganization.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
