Standard methods medium for growth of coliform bacteria from water, foods and dairy products.

Directions per Liter: Dissolve 13 grams in one liter of purified water. Mix thoroughly. Dispense into tubes containing Durham tubes. Autoclave for 15 minutes at 121ºC (15psi).

Storage and Stability: Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.

Appearance: Pale to light yellow, homogenous, free-flowing powder.

Solubility: Clear, pale to light yellow, complete.

pH: 6.9 0.2@254°C
