Lymphocyte activation gene-1 protein (LAG-1) ia a CC chemokine and is part of the MIP-1 beta family. LAG-1 is identical to MIP-beta (ACTII isotype) except for two amino acid substitutions; arginine for histidine at position 22 and serine for glycine at position 47 of the mature protein. Like MIP-1 beta, it shows in ammatory and chemokinetic properties. Lag-1 binds to both CCR5 and to CCR8. Studies have shown that LAG-1 plays an essential role in HIV suppressive factors. Recombinant Human LAG-1 is a 7.7kDa protein containing 69 amino acid residues. Stability: The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted LAG-1 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug) Reconstitution: We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1–1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or stored at -20°C for future use. Biological Activity: Determined by it’s ability to chemoattract CCR5 transfected cells using a concentration of 0.1–10.0ng/ml AA Sequence: APMGSDPPTA CCFSYTARKL PRNFVVDYYE TSSLCSQPAV VFQTKRSKQV CADPSESWVQ EYVYDLELN Country of Origin: USA |
Source: E. coli Form: The sterile ltered solution was lyophilized with no additives. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
