LD78-beta is a 7.8kD protein containing 70 amino acid residues, which is closely related to MIP-1-alpha. LD78-beta has enhanced receptor binding affinities to CCR5 and the beta-chemokine receptor, D6 and has also been shown to exhibit activities in HIV-suppression assays. Source: E.coli Form: Sterile-filtered solution was lyophilized without additives Stability: The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted LD78-beta should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug) Reconstitution: We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or at -20°C for future use. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 1-10ng/ml.
