Description: Leptin (LEP; MIM 164160), an adipocyte-specific hormone that regulates adipose-tissue mass through hypothalamic effects on satiety and energy expenditure, acts through the leptin receptor (LEPR), a single-transmembrane-domain receptor of the cytokine receptor family.[supplied by OMIM] Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:16,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
