L2024-01R is an Escherichia coli­derived recombinant protein corresponding to full­length mature rat leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), a secreted peptide with the capability to induce terminal differentiation in leukemic cells. It is expressed as a GST­fusion protein using a pGEX expression system, cleaved from GST via thrombin and purified by ion exchange chromatography.

Activity: > 1x10e8 units/mg. 50 units is the amount of rat LIF required to induce differentiation in 50% of M1 colonies in 1ml agar cultures.

Suitable for use in Functional Assays. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Aiquot and store undiluted at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
