Molecular Weight:

The biological activity of LIX was determined by measuring its ability to chemoattract human neutrophils. A concentration range of 0.1-1.0ng/ml is found to produce significant chemotaxis. LIX is a member of the a chemokine (C-X-C) family. LIX transcription by fibroblasts is upregulated by LPS and is attenuated by dexamethasone.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
