Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide of the LDLR extracellular domain (epitope between residues 184-195, the linker region between repeats 4 and 5)
Purity:
Purified by immunoaffintiy chromatography
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.5% BSA
Specificity:
Recognizes the human LDL receptor. In immunoblotting, the antibody recognizes the 160 kD band of LDLR and a 120 kD band of the LDLR precursor from fibroblasts, hepatocytes, and monocytic cells cultured in the presence of lipoprotein-deficient serum. Does not inhibit binding of LDL.
