Description: LOX-1 is a type II transmembrane protein belonging to the C-type lectin family. It is highly expressed on endothelial cells and functions as an endocytosis receptor for atherogenic oxidized LDL. Soluble LOX-1 can be generated from the transmembrane protein by proteolytic cleavage. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA (capture): 2-8ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant mouse LOX-1. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
