M-CSF is produced by a wide variety of cells including fibroblasts, monocytes, lymphocytes, osteoblasts, and mesenchymal cells to name a few. It stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells and plays an important role in the life of blood monocytes. Comprised of two 159 amino acid chains, this disulfide-linked homodimer has a molecular weight of 36.8kD. Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor expressed in E. coli. Biological Activity: The activity is determined by the dose-dependent induction of M-NFS-60 cell proliferation and is typically 1.1-1.6ng/ml.
