Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (M-CSF) is produced by various cell types, including fibroblasts, microphages, and endothelial cells. M-CSF is involved in both the development and function of monocytes/microphages. Recombinant human M-CSF is a 36.8kD homodimeric protein containing two 159 amino acid polypeptide subunits. Source: E.coli Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NSF-60 cells is 5ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 2 x 10e5units/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer Molecular Weight: 36.8kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98% (SDS-PAGE and HPLC) Concentration: Not determined Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 5mM Tris, pH 8.0 + 80 mM arginine. Reconstitute with ddH2O to 0.1-0.5mg/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
