MIP-3 beta is a CC chemokine that is expressed in the thymus, lymph nodes and in activated bone marrow stromal cells and signals through the CCR7 receptor. MIP-3 beta is a chemoattractant for T and B lymphocytes and myeloid progenitor cells. Human MIP-3 beta is active on murine cells. Recombinant human MIP-3 beta is an 8.8kD protein containing 77 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines.

AA Sequence:

Reconstitute with sterile dH2O to 0.1-1.0mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers and stored at 4C for 1 week or stored at -20C for future use.

Biological Activity:
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human T cells using a concentration of 10-50ng/ml.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O, aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
