Suitable for use in culturing heterotropic marine bacteria. This formulation simulates the mineral composition of sea water.


Directions per Liter: Suspend 37.35g in one liter of purified water. Mix thoroughly. Heat with stirring and boil for one minute to dissolve the powder completely. Aliquot into appropriate containers and autoclave at 121°C at 15 psi for 15 minutes.

Storage and Stability: Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.
