Human macrophage/ monocyte chemotactic and activating factor (MCAF) also called human macrophage chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) is an 8.6kD protein containing 76 amino acids residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml.
