Macrophage/monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. Rat MCP-1 is a 14.1kD protein containing 125 amino acid residues. Biological Activity: The maximal chemotactic activity of rat MCP-1 on human monocytes was achieved at 100 ng/ml. Responding Cells (partial list): Monocytes/macrophages Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 10.0-100 ng/ml Storage and Stability: Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer Molecular Weight: 14.1kD |
Source: Recombinant, Rat (E. coli) Purity: Purity: 97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug Form: Supplied as a sterile filtered lyophilized powder. Reconstitute in sterile ddH2Oto a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Further dilutions can be made with aqeuous buffers. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
