MDR1 (Multi Drug Resistance Protein 1, ABC20, ATP Binding Cassette Subfamily B (MDR/TAP) Member 1, ABCB1, CD243, CLCS, GP170, P-Glycoprotein, P-gp, P Glycoprotein 1, PGY1) |

Description: P-glycoprotein is encoded by the MDR1 (ABCB1) gene. It is a member of the ABC superfamily of ATP-binding cassette transporters. Expression of P-glycoprotein is associated with ATP-dependent transmembrane efflux of chemically diverse compounds from the cell. It is the major component of multidrug resistance in human tumors. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin embedded): 1:40 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
