MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene A (MHC Class I Polypeptide-related Sequence A, MICA, MIC-A, PERB11.1) |

|
Description: MICA and MICB are stress inducible antigens, which are closely related and appear functionally indistinguishable. MICA and MICB are ligands for NKG2D, an activating receptor expressed by most natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 T cells and gamma/delta T-cells. Research indicates that the MICA/NKG2D interaction may stimulate anti-tumor reactivity by T-lymphocytes. MICA is widely expressed in normal tissues, except those of the nervous system, and on many tumors. Expression levels of MICA may be increased by heat shock, oxidative stress, and virus infection. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
