Description: Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a species of Gram-negative cocci, usually seen in pairs with the adjacent sides flattened, it is pathogenic to humans who are its only natural host, it is responsible for the disease Gonorrhea. Neisseria gonorrhoeae typically infects the mucous membranes causing infections such as urethritis, cervicitis, salpingitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, proctitis, conjunctivitis and pharyngitis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Conjugation. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Titer: >1:1000 by Indirect Immunofluorescence Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
