Recombinant human nerve growth factor beta is a homodimer, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 identical 119aa and having a molecular mass of 16.9kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was found to be Ser-Ser-Ser-His-Pro. Source: Human Nerve Growth Factor beta, from CHO cells. Molecular Weight: ~16.9kD Biological Activity: The ED50, calculated by its ability to stimulate chick E9 DRG neurite outgrowth was found to be <1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >1x10e6Units/mg. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 16.9kD |
Source: CHO Cells Purity: 98% pure (HPLC, FPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE). Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 30mM sodium acetate, pH 5.5, 1% HSA. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration 100ug/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
