Neuron Specific Enolase (NSE, Gamma-enolase, 2-phospho-D-glycerate hydro-lyase, Neural Enolase, Enolase 2, ENO2)
Description:
NSE is a glycolytic enzyme that is expressed in neuronal tissue and is released as a result of damage to neural tissue. An increase in serum levels of NSE has been found in patients with tumors such as neuroblastoma.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry (paraffin). Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:400
Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
Brain cortex

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
