Notch3 (Notch Homolog 3 (Drosophila), hN3, Neurogenic Locus Notch Homolog Protein 3, CADASIL, CASIL)
NOTCH3 functions as a receptor for membrane-bound ligands Jagged1, Jagged2 and Delta1 to regulate cell-fate determination. Upon ligand activation through the released notch intracellular domain (NICD) it forms a transcriptional activator complex with RBP-J kappa and activates genes of the enhancer of split locus. It affects the implementation of differentiation, proliferation and apoptotic programs. Defects in NOTCH3 are associated with cerebral autosomal dominant

Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
