OATP2 (Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptide 2)
Description:
According to recent nomenclature this hepatocyte-specific protein is identical to OATP1B1 (2) also known as OATP-C.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: Boiling sample before SDS-PAGE is not recommended. Samples should be kept at 37C for 30 min.
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): Neat; Suggested incubation time: 1 hr at RT.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
SCL21A6 transfected HEK293 cells

Negative Control:
HepG2 and PLC cells

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Specificity:
Recognizes human OATP2 at ~90kD. Using immunofluorescence microscopy this antibody stains the sinusoidal (basolateral) membranes in frozen sections of human liver, hepatocellular carcinoma and the human cell line HEK293 transfected with SLC21A6.
