|
|
Description: OPRD1 is an Opioid Receptor that is involved in the control of anxiety, depression, and pain. It is a promising target in the therapy of mood-altering disorders and drug addiction. Delta and kappa opioid receptors function synergistically by forming heterodimers. OPRD1 expression has been reported primarily in the brain. High OPRD1 expression has been documented in the cortex, caudate, hippocampus, nucleus accumbens, and putamen; low OPRD1 expression has been identified in the cerebellum, hypothalamus, substantia nigra, and thalamus. OPRD1 expression is reduced in the putamen and amygdala of Alzheimer???s patients and in the putamen in Parkinson???s disease. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 32ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Brain, Neurons and Glia Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
