Ornithine Decarboxylase (ODC, Dodc1, Ornithine Decarboxylase 1, Odc1, Ornithine Decarboxylase 2, ODC2, ODCP, Ornithine Decarboxylase Structural 1, RNODC) |
|
|
Description: Ornithine decarboxylase is the rate-limiting enzyme in polyamine biosynthesis converting ornithine into putrescine. In normal tissue ornithine decarboxylase activity is low but increases in proliferating tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescenc (frozen): 1:300-1:500 with overnight incubation at 4°C. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Stefanini-fixed frozen sections of renal cortex from testosterone-treated mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
