Osteoprotegerin (Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 11B, Osteoclastogenesis Inhibitory Factor, TNFRSF11B, OCIF, OPG) |
|
|
Description: TNFRSF11B, a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily, is an osteoblast-secreted decoy receptor that functions as a negative regulator of bone resorption. TNFRSF11B specifically binds to its ligand, osteoprotegerin ligand, both of which are key extracellular regulators of osteoclast development. Studies of the mouse counterpart also suggest that this protein and its ligand play a role in lymph-node organogenesis and vascular calcification. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
