Phosphotrienin (Fostriecin, Antibiotic CI 920, Antibiotic CL 1565A, Antibiotic PD 110161, NSC 339638), Sodium Salt
Biochemicals Storage: -20CShipping: Blue Ice
Fostriecin is the most fully characterized member of a family of phosphate esters of a triene antibiotic. The antitumor potential of fostriecin has attracted considerable interest, focused on its mode of action as a topoisomerase II inhibitor. Subsequent research has focused on this metabolite's selective inhibition of protein phosphatase PP2A.
Related to Sultriecin.

Soluble in water; optimal stability in aqueous buffered solutions at pH 6.5.
Note: Hydrolysis of the phosphate ester will result from inappropriate storage. Use only freshly prepared solutions.

Storage and Stability:
Store lyophilized powder at -20C. Caution: Hygroscopic; keep cool and dry. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
