This antioody is intended for the detection of DNA damage as a result of UV irradiation.
Mouse myeloma (P3/X63-Ag8) x immunized mouse (Balb/c) spleen cells
Suitable for use in ELISA and DNA Blotting. Other applications have not been tested.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
UV-irradiated salmon sperm DNA
Supplied as a liquid in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and protein stabilizer
Recognizes (6-4) photoproducts of thymine dimers that are produced by UV-irradiation of DNA. Does not react with thymine dimers. Binds (6-4) photoproducts in both double and single stranded DNA, although the affinity is less for single stranded DNA. May react with normal human DNA under various conditions.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
