Biological Activity:
ED50 range=1-3ng/ml, determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells. The optimal concentration for each specific application. Platelet derived growth factor is a mitogen for a variety of cell types, including connective tissue, smooth muscle tissue and fibroblasts.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile ddH2O, 0.1% BSA, aliquot and store at-20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
