Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is a potent mitogen for a wide range of cell types including fibroblasts, smooth muscle and connective tissue. PDGF, which is composed of a dimer of two chains termed the A chain and B chain, can be present as AA or BB homodimers or as an AB heterodimer. Source: Recombinant human PDGF-BB, 218 total amino acids, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: 24.3kD Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of BALB/c 3T3 cells proliferation is < 1ng/ml Endotoxin: 1EU/ug (LAL) Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 24.3kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98% (SDS-PAGE and HPLC) Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
