Presporulation Medium is used on strains of yeast cells that do not sporulate efficiently, such as those that carry mutations that cause the cells to grow slowly or ferment poorly, are grown for 1 to 2 days before the cells are transferred to Sporulation Medium. Thus increasing sporulation effeciency.

Storage:
Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4C and used within a short period of time


Directions: 1. Dissolve 131 grams per liter of distilled/deionized water, heating with stirring until completely solubilized. 2. Adjust to desired pH.

3. Dispense into appropriate containers, loosen caps and autoclave for 15-30 minutes at 121C (15 lb/in2). Storage:Store powdered media at RT.
