Description:
Type I collagen is a member of group I collagen (fibrillar forming collagen).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 (10-25ug/ml); Paraffin embedded tissue sections fixed in acid ETOH, not traditional formalin, (1% HOAC in 95% ETOH) fixation.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes carboxy-terminal pro-peptide of human collagen type I. Does not stain mature collagen fibers in tissue, but rather is localized intracellularly in cells producing pro-collagen I. Species Crossreactivity: guinea pig and bovine. Does not crossreact with mouse, rat or hamster.
