Progesterone Receptor (PgR) |
|
|
Description: Human PgR exists in two forms: 116kD (B-form) and 81kD (A-form). It acts as ligand activated transcription factor to regulate expression of the target genes. Null mutation in PgR gene leads to pleiotrophic reproductive abnormalities. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 1:50-1:100 for 20 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: T47D cells, Breast carcinoma Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
