Protein S (PROS1, PROS, Vitamin K Dependent Protein S)
Description:
Protein S is a 77kD vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein. Protein S is produced by endothelium, the liver and megakaryocytes, but is found circulating in plasma. Protein S binds activated Protein C enabling inactivation of Factor Va and VIIIa, but it can also form a non-covalent complex with C4bp.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
