Description: Rab3 is a group of closely related GTP-binding proteins (Rab3A, Rab3B, Rab3C and Rab3D) involved in regulating membrane traffic. Rab3 proteins are expressed in high levels in the brain and endocrine tissues but are also found elsewhere. They are localised on exocytic vesicles and in the brain they cycle on and off synaptic vesicles in parallel with the release of neurotransmitters. Many functions have been proposed for the Rab3 proteins, from fusion to docking and the biogenesis of vesicles. They are thought to play an important role in presynaptic vesicle trafficking and priming. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
