Description:
RUNX2 is a member of the RUNX family of transcription factors and is a nuclear protein with an Runt DNA-binding domain. This protein is essential for osteoblastic differentiation and skeletal morphogenesis and acts as a scaffold for nucleic acids and regulatory factors involved in skeletal gene expression. It can bind DNA both as a monomer or, with more affinity, as a subunit of a heterodimeric complex. Mutations in RUNX2 have been associated with the bone development disorder cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
