RANTES (acronym for Regulated upon Activation, Normal T-cell Expressed, and presumably Secreted) is a member of the beta (C-C) chemokine subfamily and is predominantly produced from T cells and platelets. RANTES has been shown to be a chemoattractant factor for monocytes, CD4+/CD45RO+ T lymphocytes and basophils. It has also been shown to induce the proliferation and activation of killer cells and may act as a HIV suppressive factor. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa24-91 from human RANTES, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: E. coli Purity: Purified (SDS-PAGE). Concentration: As reported Form: Supplied as a liquid in 25mM Tris-HCl, pH6.8, 50mM DTT, 1% SDS, 0.1% Bromophenol Blue, 2.5% glycerol. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
