Recombinant RANTES comprises a 68 amino acid fragment (24- 91) corresponding to the mature RANTES protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. RANTES (acronym for Regulated upon Activation, Normal T-cell Expressed, and presumably Secreted) is a member of the beta (CC) chemokine subfamily and is predominantly produced from T cells and platelets. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
