Description: The human repetin gene is a member of the "fused" gene family and localized in the epidermal differentiation complex on chromosome 1q21. The "fused" gene family comprises profilaggrin, trichohyalin, repetin, hornerin, the profilaggrin-related protein and a protein encoded by c1orf10. Functionally, these proteins are associated with keratin intermediate filaments and partially crosslinked to the cell envelope (CE). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:250-1:500 Western Blot: 1:2500-1:5000. Detects a band of ~100kD. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
