S1 Nuclease degrades single-stranded DNA and RNA yielding 5’-phosphoryl-terminated products. Applications: • Removal of protruding single-stranded termini in double-stranded DNA. • Selective cleavage of single-stranded DNA • Mapping RNA transcripts Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~34kD |
Source: Aspergillus orzyae Specificity: ss-DNA degradation. Activity on native dsDNA undetectable under the assay conditions. Concentration: 100,000 units/ml Form: Supplied as a liquid in 30mM sodium acetate, pH 4.6, 50mM sodium chloride, 1mM zinc chloride, 50% glycerol. Quality Control: No double stranded DNA digestion was detected after incubation of 10units of S0050-01 with 1ug pUC 19 for 1hour at 37°C. Unit Definition: One unit hydrolyses 1ug of nucleic acid per minute at 37ºC, pH 4.6. |
