GST fusion protein containing full length human SAPK2a/p38a (64kDa). Specificity: Essentially identical in mammals (p38 MAPK) and yeast (HOG-1). Inhibitors include protein phosphatase 2A, PTP-1B, CL-100 and pyridinyl imidazols. Specific Activity: 50units/mg using MBP as a substrate. One unit of SAPK2a/p38a = 1 nmol phosphate incorporated into MBP per minute. SAPK2a Kinase Assay: SAPK2a/p38a phosphorylated MBP. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: Human recombinant expressed in E. coli Purity: 98% by SDS and Coomassie Blue staining Form: Supplied as a liquid in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.1mM EGTA, 0.03% Brij-35, 1mM benzamidine, 0.2mM PMSF, 0.1% 2-mercaptoethanol, 50% glycerol.
